Since I changed my email more than a year ago, I haven't been able to easily log in to this blog unless through using Ryan's email or my old email but forgetting the password.  Oy! And who has time to mess with all the technical stuff when you have kiddos that need your attention?

Well I will make this short for now, but wanted to post something.  Hopefully more to come soon!

Catherine turns 4!

Catherine had wonderful birthday celebrations with family and friends.  She also got to bring cookies to preschool the day before her birthday...but she was the only kid that didn't eat hers...she told me later she wanted cupcakes!  (those were for her birthday party I told her, couldn't have the mess at school, she ate her cookie later at home of course)  Catherine's official stats from the doctor:  31 lbs (17%) and 40 inches tall (57%)...I'm mostly concerned about her raging BMI at 4%...gotta lay off those apples and carrots I guess!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY SKINNY GIRL!

 Catherine had a blast playing and seeing all her friends (except her out of town ones) in one place!

She has arrived!  Claire's confidence is growing each day as her steps increase and crawling just isn't as fun anymore.  It's pretty darn cute to see this little thing that still looks like a baby doll walk around the room.  When strangers see her walking, they comment how well she's doing, probably because they are mistaking her little body for a 9 month old when in fact she's 12 months, almost 13.

The day was a whirlwind; I can't believe it's already over.  Now we look ahead to this 12th month and we predict- some walking from our baby girl.  I can't help but still call her my baby until she does things like walk without help and grow a lot of hair because fact is she just looks like a little doll still.  A cute, spunky, babbling little doll who has found her voice (happy screeches that are quite ear piercing) and whose smiles light up my life.  But before we look ahead (because I know how these first few year fly by- Catherine will be 4 years old in less than 4 months!), a look back at her birthday festivities...

Less than one month away till the big day...

Claire:  11 months now, crawling as her main mode of transportation still, walking while pushing many toys around the house including Catherine's grocery cart, her little pony and her walker, enjoys long walks in mama's arms or in the stroller (just keep her moving!) and climbing up stairs as fast as she can before someone grabs her.  6 teeth in and eating everything, loves to feed herself mostly.  Taking 2 naps a day (morning is a short one) and hopefully sleeping all the way though the night soon!  These photos are from her 10 month pictures...

Catherine:  3 1/2 years, preschool field trip to Mukilteo Beach, play dates, still takes her nap (thank goodnesss!) unless we have to skip it for something, miss chatter box- seriously hard for Ryan and I to have a conversation while she's awake, loves to dance and jump around the house, do art projects, read and watch Curious George:)

 Celebrating turning 3 1/2 officially:) 

 The girls now take baths together occasionally.  Claire loves being in the big bath tub, but you can't take your eyes off her, she stands up to reach things and scares mom with how much more daring she is than Catherine was at this age.  She also LOVES to splash and get wild and Catherine is not a big fan of getting water in her face.

 One of the new bus drivers for the city of Everett, or at least while she was at the Children's Musuem.

 Yet another day where we skipped Catherine's nap, she fell asleep in the car later and I carried in her and plopped her on the floor.  Even Claire tugging at her didn't wake this sleeping beauty out of her slumber.

 After riding her bike in our park, Catherine usually likes to go down the slide a few times.  We try to get out any evening its not raining, which is hard to come by lately.

 Egg hunt inside since it was rainy outside, she still loved it!

Claire's first Easter...she loved the eggs, but not a big fan of crawling in her dress so it didn't stay on for long.
