Day 2

No, I won't blog everyday, won't have time, am home sick and laying low so the opportunity presents itself. I also want to remember this process because I'm sure once baby comes along, my mommy brain will be in full effect again! So day 1 was successful without much trouble, binky only for nap and bedtime. Day 2 began without the binky once more and we quickly came down to say goodbye to daddy before he left for work. Diverted attention from binky when she asked for it and after nap I asked her to put it in her crib and she did (ok, I did tell her she was going to play at a friend's house, so that probably helped a bit!). Should be good until bedtime tonight....so when she goes to Nana's house tomorrow, Nana will have to follow the no binky rule too. Shouldn't be a problem because Nana plays with her constantly and has always been good about distracting her from thinking about needing a binky!

We also went to an open house for a 2 1/2-3 year olds preschool class at a local church for next year, we all loved it and signed her up for the T/R class from 9:30-11:30. On the way home she was talking to her bear and said "I love Mommy" "I love school", then this morning when she watched the school bus pick up kids she looked at me and asked "Catherine school?" I think she may be a little more ready than I am (I almost cried last night watching her play and thinking of leaving her for 2 short hours) but it will be so good for her socially and hopefully will help her come out of her shyness. Plus a little time for just me and baby=)
